Shame

Shame is a hidden story.

We feel shame when we are a-shamed.

But shame is an innocent emotion. It wants to hide. Much like when a child covers their face when something's gone wrong.

Here's How:

  1. Ask Yourself, What are You Ashamed About?
  2. Un-hide
  3. Move Towards Your Ideal Self
  4. . Bonus. Helping Someone who is experiencing shame.

Here's Why:

  1. This can be difficult for people who have a general tendency to not want to look back at their past. "What's the point?" However, shame is not time-bound. Shame is an insidious shaper of our experiences. When we stop running away from shame, we then have a chance to be more fully alive and connected to the ones we love.

  2. True connection doesn’t arise from sharing of our strengths but in our weaknesses.

  3. Shame is a sign that you did not live up to who you can be, your true and ideal self.
